Let's make a monument!

Using Tinkercad...

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

Design your monument!

You will be using Tinkercad to design your miniature monument. Now is the time to go through your sketches and decide which one you would like to recreate.

Here is a basic tutorial, made by our friends at Tinkercad, on how to start out:

When I used Tinkercad to 3D print, I found Penn State's Maker Commons website useful. It gives step-by-step instructions on getting your creation printer-ready! Click here to view them.

If you come across any issues or questions, head over to my Creator Bio page and use my Contact Form to send me a message!

We will all be using the same account with Tinkercad to create out miniature monuments. The log-in information is below:
E-mail: miniaturemonuments@gmail.com
Password: gorangers55
This step will take a bit longer to complete than the first few, but when you are done designing your miniature monument, work with your teacher to export your file for 3D printing.
In order to receive full credit for this step, you must...
  1. Use our group account on Tinkercad to design on of the sketches you made for your miniature monument.
  2. Make sure your design does not exceed 8 inches by 8 inches.
  3. Work with your teacher to export your file for 3D printing when you are happy with your design.
